Anyone intending to follow Walk 14 from 50 Walks on the Essex Coast between Hythe and Rowhedge (near Colchester), note that the path beside the River Colne at Hythe will be closed for the next few months.
Hopefully it will be open again by the summer and a circular walk possible using the high tide, weekend only, Wivenhoe to Rowhedge ferry.
